Spring sprang sprung
I cannot believe how long I put off a blog post and I have had tons of projects going! Here are some pics to preview at least and hopefully ill fill you in soon.
It is better to be busy!
Knook mitts for spring
Our new chicks arrive in three weeks so spring should not be much later… I anticipate spring coats will make an appearance sooner than they should so I worked up a pair of fingerless mitts on the knook. Used “Deborah norville everyday worsted” in “spring” and a size “g” knook.
Funshine Bear
It was a late night but I finished Funshine Care bear in time for my son’s birthday. I used the same Leisure Ants pattern that I used ten Years ago when I made “good Luck Bear” for my daughter. Also pictured is my own handmade care bear its about 35 years old and I believe a friend of my parents made it.
Red heart yarn, Poly fill stuffing felt eyes size E hook Chibi needle, stitch markers, hot gLUe, bedspread Cotton, 1.65hook.
6th birthday gift
I have eight days…
Are you wondering where I got these awesome stitch markers? They were in a prize from the Crochet Nirvana blog! Also I got a book, Christmas Crochet for hearth and home, a hook, yarn and lots of other goodies. It happened to arrive on my birthday last month too! http://crochetnirvana.weebly.com/blog/christmas-crochet-by-edie-eckman-blog-tour-book-review-a-giveaway
signs of christmas approaching
well the chickens are in their new home, and the big day is almost here! As you can see we’ve been crafting like crazy and there are a few secrets that remain of course. Special dishes and Christmas art have appeared, that is always fun. Wishing you a happy holiday.
Plate canvas kissers
Did anyone else make these with Your Grandma when you were a kid? I had a good time making these with my daughter this Weekend. We gave then to the Church ladies after the Christmas pageant. they ave 10×10 squares sewn together ontwo adjacent sides. Does that make sense? Well they are a fun Trick.
